1. Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using BrainLog ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you disagree with any part of these terms, you may not access the Service.

2. Description of Service

BrainLog is a note-taking and project management application offering:

  • Note creation and organization with Markdown support
  • Project management tools (Kanban boards, Gantt charts, etc.)
  • Optional end-to-end encryption for sensitive content
  • Collaboration and sharing features
  • Data export capabilities

3. User Accounts

You must create an account with a valid email address and secure password. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials and for all activities under your account.

Encryption passphrase: If you enable end-to-end encryption, you are solely responsible for your passphrase. We cannot recover encrypted data if you lose it.

4. Subscription and Payments

  • BrainLog is a subscription-based service. Pricing is displayed on our website.
  • Subscriptions are billed in advance monthly or annually via Stripe.
  • Cancel anytime from account settings. Access continues until the billing period ends.
  • 14-day money-back guarantee for new subscribers.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use BrainLog to:

  • Violate any applicable laws or regulations
  • Store or distribute malware or malicious code
  • Engage in illegal activities or plan harm to others
  • Infringe on intellectual property rights
  • Harass, abuse, or threaten other users
  • Attempt unauthorized access to our systems

6. Your Content

You retain full ownership of all content you create in BrainLog. We do not claim any intellectual property rights over your content.

By using the Service, you grant us a limited license to store and transmit your content solely to provide the Service.

7. Shared Content

Important: BrainLog is not responsible for any content shared publicly by users.

When you share content via public links, password-protected pages, or collaboration features:

  • You are solely responsible for the content you share and its consequences.
  • You must ensure you have the right to share the content.
  • BrainLog does not monitor, review, or endorse user-shared content.
  • We may remove content that violates these terms or applicable laws upon notice.
  • You agree to indemnify BrainLog against any claims arising from content you share.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, BrainLog shall not be liable for:

  • Loss of data (especially encrypted content where the passphrase is lost)
  • Loss of profits or business opportunities
  • Service interruptions or downtime
  • Content shared by users
  • Actions of third parties

Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the Service in the 12 months preceding the claim.

9. Termination

You may delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

10. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes via email or through the Service.
