“Save this in my Reading folder — I’ll read it later.” The note appears
as it’s written, in a folder that stays plain markdown.
A place to write
Type **bold** and it turns bold as you type — no
preview window, no modes. Folders hold sections, sections hold
pages, and that's the whole system. Open it and write.
Your notes stay yours
Every page is a plain markdown file. Download a folder as a zip
whenever you like, and bring the notes you already have the same
way. Nothing gets locked in.
Tasks live in your notes
A task is a checkbox line in a page. The task list, the board and
the due dates are three ways of looking at those same lines — there
is no separate to-do app hiding inside.
Your assistant’s workspace
Connect the AI assistant you already use, and your notebook becomes
somewhere it can actually work: save an answer for later, draft a page,
keep a reading list, plan a week as a board — writing the same markdown
you would.
It can never delete anything. The agent connection has no delete, no trash, no revoke — not as a setting, as a fact of its design.
You watch it work. Pages and boards appear in your sidebar as they’re written, live.
Setup is one command. Works with the assistants and agent tools you already have — see the docs.
“Plan my week.” A board appears inside the note — columns are headings,
cards are checkboxes, and dragging a card rewrites the file.
Private where it matters
Some notes are for you, your assistant and your collaborators. Some are
only for you. BrainLog draws that line folder by folder — and enforces
it with cryptography, not a checkbox.
End-to-end encrypted folders: encrypted in your browser; the server stores only ciphertext. No assistant, no share link, and not even we can read them.
